Accessibility
We want everyone to feel welcome at BCLC. If you have a disability, or care for someone who does, please do read on to find out how we can help you access our services.
Mobility Difficulties
We have step free access from the front of our 17 Upland Road building through all the rooms on the ground floor, including the main auditorium. There is a disabled user friendly bathroom on the ground floor. There is step free access to lower ground floor by using the side of the building. We have ramp access to our stage. None of our chairs are fixed, so we can make space for a wheelchair user where ever you feel comfortable - if you would like us to do this in advance, or you require any assistance moving around the building, please do contact us.
Sight impairment
Guide dogs are welcome throughout our building. If you need help to attend or access our services, please do contact us.
Hearing impairment
We have a loop system at BCLC for those with hearing aids that facilitate this - please turn your hearing aid to "T". If you require BSL interpretation, please do contact us, as we may be able to accomodate this. We unfortunately do not have a text phone number, but you can chat to us via our facebook page.
Sensory processing difficulties
If you or someone you care for has sensory processing difficulties, please know that you are welcome at BCLC! During our Sunday services, if you need, you are welcome to make use of the coffee area - the screens will show a video feed of whatever is happening in the main hall.
Children with disabilites
If you are a parent or carer of a child with disabilities, we would love for your child to be able to access our children's work. Please contact us so we can discuss your child's needs, or feel free to visit on a Sunday or any of our children's groups.
If you have a disability or need assistance not mentioned here, please do contact us to discuss your needs, or the needs of someone you care for.
