Groups and Services for Seniors

Diamond Jubilee Club

Our exciting ‘Diamond Jubilee Club’, runs on the last Tuesday morning of every month at Upland Road, 10.30am-12.15pm. It is designed for the over 65s in our community who are lonely and isolated and looking for friendship and also those who experience memory loss. It is open to all who feel they would benefit from a morning of music and song, where professional artistes are sometimes invited alongside Del and his wife Carol. We play hymns and entertain with songs from the shows, sing-a-longs, and melodies from the 40’s to the present day. The club can give carers a well-deserved break, or carers are also very welcome to attend. The team of volunteers provide simple crafts and there is always a chance for a chat over tea or coffee and homemade cakes. Prayer is offered to those who would benefit! The club is entirely free of charge.

Care home and Residential housing Services

We hold monthly Christian worship services at the following retirement homes and sheltered housing developments. This is a time of encouraging those among the elderly who are Christians in and also reaching those who don't yet know Jesus with the good news. It's also an opportunity for fellowship and fun!
