Kids & Youth

Children and young people play a big part at BCLC. Rather than believing that children are the Church of the future, we believe they are the Church of today - that God can move and speak through them just as effectively as through an adult. We have a number of groups that we run where children and young people can safely enjoy fun activities and get an opportunity to explore God for themselves.

Toddler Group

For under 5s, Toddler Group takes place every term-time Friday, between 9am-11am at Upland Road.

With toast and hot drinks served from 9am, a warm welcome awaits you and you little one. 

Creche

In our foyer we have a secure creche area which is open every Sunday during the whole service. Children will need a parent or carer to accompany them. Our youngest members are welcome to remain in the main service; the creche area is there for you as parents of under 4s, when you feel you need it. There is a video link-up to the hall.

Lightzone 

For 3-11s, Lightzone is our BCLC children's ministry. On Sunday we have two groups - 3s-5s and 5s-11s - these groups happen every Sunday during the sermon, expect the last Sunday, with is usually our all-age service.

Lightzone Thursday happens every term-time Thursday, between 6-7pm and for 5s-11s.

Mountain Movers

Mountain Movers, for 11-18s (school years 7-13) meets on the first and third Sundays of the month during the sermon, and every term-time Thursday evening from 7pm-8.30pm.

All of our childrens' ministries adhere to a robust Safeguarding policy which ensures that all of the children are safe at all times and are supervised and supported by staff or volunteers who are DBS checked and are well known to us.
