In celebration of the life of Queen Elizabeth II

We give thanks to our Lord God for Queen Elizabeth II, for an extraordinary life, well-lived in faith, humility and devotion. She displayed many of the qualities of servant leadership that we would seek to emulate - kindess, commitment, integrity and faithfulness. 

We thank God for her faith in Jesus, whom she loved and served above all others. She was never ashamed to confess the name of Jesus Christ and speak of how she relied totally on him. We take comfort that she is now with Him in glory, kneeling at the feet of the King of kings. 

The stunning double rainbow shining over Windsor Castle at the moment of the flag being lowered to half mast was a poignant reminder that God is Sovereign, remains in control and on His throne. Our hearts can remain steadfast in His faithfulness during these pivotal days as we transition to a new monarch. Our prayers are with King Charles III as he begins his reign and we pray that God would direct his steps and draw his heart to Himself.
