Sundays

We meet every together for corperate worship every Sunday at 10.30am.

We are very exicited to announce that we are now meeting in our new building at Upland Road

You might have some questions about our services, hopefully we can answer them here! Click on the question to jump to the answer

How long are your services, and what happens?

Our services are around 90 minutes long. We have a time of worship, lead by the music group. On the 1st Sunday of the month we take communion. After this time, we have some notices to let you know about events coming up. This is followed by a sermon - a talk about a passage of scripture to help you learn and grow as a Christian. Various members of the congregation bring this, alongside Del.

After the service you are warmly invited to stay and chat with us.

What do I need to wear?

You can wear whatever you are comfortable in! There’s no dress code.

Do I need to bring anything?

No, nothing at all – if you have a bible you can bring it, but it’s not required!

Do you take a collection? Do I have to contribute?

During the service, we have something called an offering. A bag is passed around the Church during the worship time. Some members will put in a gift of money as part of their worship.  There is never any obligation to give at all.

children playingIs there anything for the children?

We love families at BCLC and want your children to feel welcome. We have a Sunday school that takes place every Sunday except the last Sunday of the month (the family service) for 2-10 year olds and YBICS (for 11-18 year olds) that meets twice a month. During the service, please don’t worry about your children being restless or making noise – we’re not upset, you don’t need to be!

What about the under 2s?

We have a dedicated area in the main hall for parents of very young children. If you need to take your child out of the meeting, please feel free to use the foyer, which has sofas, a baby changing room and we hope soon a sound and video link up to the main hall.

What if I’m late or have to leave early?

While we would love for you to enjoy our whole service, we understand that sometimes life happens! Please don’t be put off coming even if you’re not going to make it on time, or aren’t available for the whole service. Please do be aware though that our car park at Upland Primary School closes at 10.45am, opening again at the end of the service (though you can of course access your car in an emergency by speaking to one of the stewards).
