Sunday School and YBICS
During the service on Sundays, we have activities that take place during the talk for ages 2-18.
On the last Sunday of every month, we have an all-age family service. This service promises to be fun and engaging for the whole family, and is usually shorter than ordinary services.
Sunday school is for ages 2-10(ish). It takes place every Sunday except the last Sunday of the month. There are songs, games, acitvites and stories, all designed to help your child grow in the knowledge of God. We currently have 2 Sunday School groups - one for 2-5 year olds and one for 5-10 year olds. Each term there is an exciting points competition, with each child earning points for attendance, contributions, bringing their bible etc. Every year the School Sunday, together with LightZone, produce a Nativity Play for the Sunday service just before Christmas. Between the start of school year 6 and the end of school year 7, children usually move up to the YBICs group.
YBICs stands for "Young Believers in Christ" - a name chosen by the young people when the group was started. It meets on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month. The 1st Sunday is open to 11-18 year olds, the 3rd Sunday is open to 11-14 year olds. The aim of the group is to help young Christians to deepen their understanding of their Christian faith and express it in their own unique ways.
The group shares many members with our Sunday Night Youth group.
Sunday school and YBICS, like all of our childrens ministries adhere to a robust Safeguarding policy which ensures that all of the children are safe at all times and are supervised and supported by staff or volunteers who are DBS checked and are well known to us.
