Our Church Vision
To be a Bible believing, praying, culturally relevant, multinational church family, embracing and reaching out to all ages and social groups. We are affiliated to the AOG and support their events and vision to see every man woman and child in this nation having an opportunity to receive the Gospel.
Our Church Strategy
To run discipleship courses and use training events, and also ‘Life Groups’ to help grow, equip and develop people in their gifting and to facilitate them in realising their potential. Outreach to the community is a priority particularly to young people, families, senior citizens and the lonely and isolated. Children's clubs are run for children aged 0-16. For Senior Citizens, we hold a monthly ‘Diamond Jubilee Club’ using music as reminiscence therapy for those with memory loss and gentle exercise, crafts, games and so on to build relationships and share the gospel. We also take monthly services at Cramond and Stone Court care homes.
We will encourage evangelical outreach programmes working in partnership and unity with other like minded churches. The Street Pastor and School Pastor initiatives are to be celebrated, supported and expanded.
Mission in this nation and to so many nations of the world will continue to be a high priority. Team mission should be encouraged.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Our Church will provide a safe, non-judgemental environment where people can receive Christian counselling, restoration, healing and deliverance. A mid-term goal would be working towards having a counselling centre.
We will seek a suitable building where we can grow and facilitate the vision.
BCLC should be seen as a ‘miracle centre!’ A place of healing, signs and wonders - all attesting to the presence of God in our community.
A long term local goal would be a junior school, where there is a strong Christian foundation and Bible teaching, perhaps run jointly with other local AOG churches.
